Kids Helping Kids: An Overwhelming Response
We are overwhelmed by the response to our Kids Helping Kids program. The display of compassion and genuine care shown by the children who have chosen to get involved is truly inspiring.
The D2C Kids Helping Kids initiative is a simple platform for empowering kids around the world to get informed, get inspired and get involved in their global community by contributing to the Devoted to Children Foundation.
By educating groups of kids – whether it be in classrooms, church groups, neighborhoods, clubs or any other form of community – about the discrepancy in opportunity, resources and quality of life between Haiti and their own developed world experience, D2C hopes to inspire kids to act and contribute to bettering the lives of the children of the D2C family. We want to introduce kids of all ages to the idea of ‘seva’ or selfless service and give them the opportunity to be part of the change.
We have seen many children in our local communities become inspired to help the children of D2C and take action by organizing creative #FUNdraiser activities that have generated an incredible amount of support.
We are impressed and are learning from these awesome, motivated kids. We have seen benefit parties, bake sales and holiday craft sales, to name a few of the creative fundraising ideas.
If you want to get involved with the Kids Helping Kids program let us know and we will equip you with all of the tools you need to put on a successful fundraiser.
