Fednel

Fednel ~ lived with his aunt, uncle and six cousins. His aunt approached D2C in hopes of finding a better home for Fednel because she and her husband were having a very hard time supporting even their own children. Fednel's mother died in the arms of his aunt nearly six years ago. As much as the aunt loves Fednel, she is no longer able to support her large family. Recently, to make matters worse, her husband was maimed in a car accident and can not contribute to the family income or work around the house. Fednel and the other children had been attending school in a town over the next mountain. Fednel was about to finish second grade, however, Fednel and his cousins were removed from classes as they were unable to pay the 25.00 dollar annual fee required for each of the students to pass on to the next grade. D2C covered the cost of Fednel's exams so he could progress to the next grade with the other children in the D2C home. D2C also supported Fednel's cousins so they can complete their exams and move forward with their schooling as a part of our community outreach program.
